I completed an RSA course in Tasmania about 10 years ago and haven’t worked in a bar for about 7 years. Is that original course sufficient to return to working in a bar in Tasmania? If not, is a refresher course available or do I need to complete another RSA course?
Hi Emily,
Are you able to tell me whether the RSA certificate you completed in Tasmania was a national accreditation? If it was provided by a recognised online training provider then from my understanding there is no expiry on the online national certificate however their is a requirement that the certificates are ‘current’. As it is 10 years old, I do think they would get you to redo the RSA Course but I would suggest that you contact the government department that deals with RSA Courses – bit of a pain but here is a link to their website RSA Tasmania . I hope this information has helped.
