How to Make the Most Popular Cocktails

Tequila Sunrise

Ingredients:

  • 120 ml of orange juice
  • 30 ml of tequila
  • 15 ml of grenadine
  • Slice of orange or a maraschino cherry for garnish

Preparation:

1. Mix tequila and orange juice in a highball glass with ice cubes

2. Stir well with a stirrer

3. Gradually pour in 15ml of grenadine on the  inside edges of the highball glass

4. The grenadine will slowly settle down and mix with the rest of the ingredients

5. Garnish it with a slice of orange or cherry

Mojito

Ingredients:

 

  • 30ml White rum (Bacardi)
  • Fresh Mint Leaves
  • 1 tbsp sugar (2 sugar cubes)
  • 15ml lime juice
  • 60ml soda

 

Preparation:

 

  1. Place mint leaves in bottom of glass
  2. Add crushed ice
  3. Add rum sugar and lime juice and muddle
  4. Add Soda Water
  5. Garnish with mint leaves

Cosmopolitan

 

Ingredients:

  • 45 ml of unflavored vodka (for a fruity taste, you may use flavored vodka instead)
  • 30 ml of cointreau
  • 15 ml of fresh lime juice
  • 7.5 ml of cranberry juice
  • Orange peel for garnish

 

Preparation:

 

1. Using a cocktail shaker, shake all ingredients      (except for the garnish peel).

2. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass

3. Garnish with orange peel

 

Gin & Tonic

 

Ingredients:

  • 30 ml of gin
  • 150 ml of tonic water
  • Lemon or Lime wedge for garnish

 

 

Preparation:

  1. In a highball glass, pour in the gin and tonic water with ice cubes.
  2. Stir well

3. Use lime wedge for garnish

 

Martinis 

Ingredients:

 

  • 75 ml of gin
  • 15 ml of dry vermouth
  • Olive or lemon twist for garnish
  • Bitters such as orange or Angostura

 

 

Preparation:

 

1. Gradually fill the mixing glass with ice cubes and the ingredients.

2. Stir well for 30 seconds.

3. Garnish with olive or lemon twist

4. Dash with orange or angostura (optional)

 

 

Manhattan

 

Ingredients:

  • 60 ml of rye whiskey
  • 15 ml of sweet dry vermouth
  • 2 – 3 dashes of Angostura as bitters
  • Maraschino cherry for garnish

 

Preparation:

 

1. Pour whiskey and dry vermouth into a mixing glass

2. Stir well

3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass

4. Garnish with cherry

5. Dash with angostura

 

Black Russian

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 55 ml of vodka
  • 25 ml of coffee liqueur (Kahlua)
  • Some people like to fill with coke

 

 

Preparation:

1. Combine the vodka and coffee liqueur in an old-fashioned glass

2. Fill with ice cubes.

3. Add coke if desired

4. Stir well and serve


White Russian 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 55 ml of vodka
  • 25 ml of coffee liqueur (Kahlua)
  • Milk or cream

 

 

Preparation:

1. Combine the vodka and coffee liqueur in an old-fashioned glass

2. Fill with ice cubes.

3. Add milk or cream

4. Stir well and serve
